NEW: The
LI Inductive Linear Measuring System
The inductive linear measuring system described
here combines the precision of optical encoders with the robustness previously
offered by magnetic systems.
Worldwide, an innovative and unique concept.
General description
With the new LI inductive angular measuring system, Hengstler has a linear
measurement system for measuring positions and speeds even under difficult
conditions. This new system, characterised by its extreme accuracy, is
non-sensitive to contamination and mechanical influences.
With its non-contact measuring principles, it can handle rev. counts up
to 1,200 n/min.
It produces highly accurate 1 Vss sine output signals displaced by 90°
with a distortion factor < 1%. These are particularly
suited for high resolution interpolation in the sequencing control, up
to 0.25µm.
Optionally, the system can be delivered with interpolation already integrated
in the read head which can deliver resolutions from 50 µm to 5µm edge
distance as TTL – RS 422 signals. Beside the incremental track,
there are also reference marks on the measuring flange to
determine the absolute angular position. There are different versions
available depending on the application or on the customer requirements
as well as several standard versions: single reference marks cyclically
positioned or distance coded reference marks for the pseudo-absolute positioning.

| NEW: The AI Inductive
Angle Measuring System
The inductive angular measuring system described
here combines the precision of optical encoders with the robustness previously
offered by magnetic systems. Worldwide, an innovative and unique
concept.
General description
With the new AI inductive angular measuring system, Hengstler has an
encoder system for measuring angles, revolutions and speeds in locations
where up to now, it has not been possible to build in a conventional encoder.
This new system, characterised by its extreme accuracy, is non-sensitive
to contamination and mechanical influences. With its non-contact measuring
principles, it can handle rev. counts up to 20,000 1/min.
It produces highly accurate 1 Vss incremental sine/cosine output signals
with a distortion factor < 1%. These are particularly suited
for high resolution interpolation in the sequencing control. Optionally,
the system can be delivered with interpolation already integrated in the
read head which can deliver more than 200,000 positional steps
per revolution as TTL – RS 422 signals.
Beside the incremental track, there are also reference marks on
the measuring flange to determine the absolute angular position. Depending
on the application two versions are available; single reference marks
or multiple distance coded reference marks.
